good deal on a used 08 honds 450 whatcha think?

just sold my 07 rmz 250f im lookin to step up to a 450 ...guy i ride at my local track with. island motocross long isalnd ny has a mint 2008 honda 450f with a complete hinson clutch and works connection rad gaurds and skid plate it has about 12 hrs on it i can get it for 4500 or so u guys think this is a fair deal? f not anyone know any where in the tri state area that i can get a nice 08 leftover for a good deal ?

If that's the kind of bike you want and you know its history then go for it. I'd say offer 4k, he'll probably say no, then offer a little more and he'll bite.

Paying a little more for a bike you know the history of is smart......especially a 4 stroke.
You may find one cheaper but it could be a time bomb.

Great bike and a real good deal for a bike that you know. You will miss the turning of the Zook, but will like everything else.

That's a great deal especially with the upgrades. Don't get greedy but offer $4000 and you might get it for $4250.

Do what he says. We had to buy a bike last year, and since my son was going to race as a privateer, we bought the Honda. A dealer was nice enough to sell it at $100 over cost, and that was around 6500 or 6600. So 4500 for a low hour bike with some mods is good. Those Hinson Clutch set-ups are not cheap either. There were significant changes from 2007 to 2008 with the Honda 450.
