Does anyone know when Yamaha will open their 09 contingency program? I can't register my bike because the site says it's an invalid VIN.

Probably not until the 08 season is done.

Yes, the 08 season is not over, but he is not able to register his 09 which he is riding in the 08 season. Your dealer may not have sent in the sales info yet, check with them. You won't be able to register until it shows up as sold at Yamaha.

Last year they allowed early contingency registration for the new bikes.

Haven't seen anything about it for the 2009's though.

has Stewart really signed to ride blue?? seems odd that they haven't announced it even though there are a couple races left on green.

I bet the warranty registration hasn't gone through yet. The way I understand the system this moves the VIN from the dealer inventory to active.

You might call the dealer first and make sure they have completed your paperwork then call the contingency folks.

BTW Kawasaki Conitingency rules!!!

I called them, they said the paperwork is done but they are going to look into it. Yamaha doesn't even show anything for 09 yet, only 08 contingency so hopefully it will come out soon.

Yamaha needs to get a debit card program like Kawi has!!! YZ bucks are helpfull and all but you get retail value for it at the Yamaha dealer and it pales in camparission to being able to spend the money on whatever you please. My buddy pays all his bills and basically lives off the Kawi contigency program. Oh well better deal with it cause I doubt kawi is going to bring the KX250 back anytime soon and I'm a two-stroke guy and YZ's are my only option. KTM does'nt even count as an option so immediately exclude that one. JK
