Went by High Point today

There was a wreck on I-79 today so I took a detour around by High Point to go around it. What a ghost town. So strange not seeing 1000's of people, trucks and rigs. I can honestly say I was expecting to see some prep work going on but I guess they don't start that until the week of. Probably especially with a LL qualifier at Steel City. I found it interesting so I thought I would share a few pics I took. It is amazing how that place is transformed into race day with what seems like only days of preparation.

Yes, I was just stopped in the road next to the back entrance and stuck my Ipad out the window. I got a kick out of the kawi banners lining their garden.

I love watching HiPoint... Best track on the series I reckon...

Just wish they would bring back Bradshaw boulevard... Anyone know why it was removed? DC?

With the regional at Steel City and the national out in Colorado, our crew is split up and elsewhere this weekend! But I am headed out there now to check things out before the races start at 3 p.m. on Allisports.com.

I am sure it will look much, much different in four days than it does right now!

And the Thor rig is out there because Hylton Beatty of Thor/Parts Unlimited lives here in Morgantown and is just letting it rest there until it goes to work on the East Coast rounds, beginning with High Point.

How man track sit idle most of the year and don't hold local events or open practice?

I know Millville isn't all dolled most of the year like it is at nationals, but it certainly gets used a TON.

I know Millville isn't all dolled most of the year like it is at nationals, but it certainly gets used a TON.
Was just up the for the area qualifier a little over a month ago, they had it looking good that weekend. Just like any other High Point weekend, the rain's came and ruined what started out as an awesome track.

My daughters got me 4 tickets for the race for Fathers Day. I haven't been to a national since they went to the Saturday format because I work every Saturday as a millwright. I think they forgot that. Now it looks like we might get stuck with the tickets because she got them in a voucher format and to redeem, sell, or get a refund she has to show up at the venue with a picture ID and it's a 3 hour drive. Can you help a moto brother out DC?

Hey DC, sorry if you didn't see above...

What was the reason for removing Bradshaw Boulevard?! I'd love to see it back and I bet loads of people would...

Is it just for the mechanic area? Could they possibly go into the whoop section coming out of that left hander... flatten the whoops, it's not helped racing there anyways...

Would be awesome to see the 2009 uphill whoops into a whole set of old school doubles like the old days...
