The rider that holeshot most every race went off the track in this very same spot. This was a track issue more then a rider issue. Later in the day track workers changed the start to go straight where mike and many other riders went off the track at the start.

Sorry to be captain obvious but if you "holeshot" and overshoot the boundary of the track and go outside then you probably needed to slow down more to make the first turn.

I didn't see it happen but maybe twice, once being with alessi. They changed it to suit mike and tony, true story!

I don't mind mike as a person he seems allright.

BUT why is he racing these money races and keeping the money that's ridiculous if he wants to go race them just to race who cares but if he got 1500 just for the dash that should've been giving to 2nd place or split up 2-4 or something Mike shouldn't get shit dudes made plenty of money doesn't need to be stealing it from privateers.

I know the purse is big for these races too so he wins all Motos tomorrow he will take more money from someone that needs it lot more then him, I would think the promotors would just not let him do that.

He's racing them to support the "Motocross league of america" because Tony hates DC so much he's trying to support an alternative series. The idea is to try to help that series grow so they can take their toys and go home.

Production bike with parts any one can buy
And no factory support. If you don't like it now you will hate it next year when the purse goes to 100 k and the all the other top 20 guys who are not making any money racing mx show up.

If I were you I would get used to more guys like ma800 doing these races in the future unless the morgantowners can find a way for these riders to make a living racing professional Mx .

I think it's great he's going and supporting them etc I just don't think it's fair to the other guys that he's getting the purse money that's what bugs me.

I'm pretty surprised one of the other guys hasn't just plowed him right away and take him out especially in the dash for cash haha

It's a pro class right? I think I saw a bunch of other guys in that clip that have double digit national #'s. Why should Mike or any other PRO be excluded from racing it? As JT$ said, "there is no sandbagging in the Pro class". If mike doesn't win and Alex Martin does, is he sandbagging?

Richard, the owner of Hog Heaven was telling me that next year he wants this event to double in size and payout and his goal is to make it a million dollar 3 race series. He is like most of us and feels that these guys work so hard and risk their lives for peanutes.
He loves this sport and the people in this sport as much as anybody.

Yep, it would have been a stand up thing for Alessi to voluntarily give the $1500 to second place. He overshot the berm and then used that to get the holeshot and pull away. He should have made the corner.

You only have some much time to make money. If I could have a side job that I enjoyed doing with a chance at making $1500 in 15 minutes I would be all over that. Sucks for the guys that would win if he wasn't there, but if I was a top pro I would be hitting all these up to make some additional spending money for the holidays - plus get a little track time in.

I really gotta start cutting the track more.... i've resisted until now.... but screw it, the top riders don't even think its a thang.....

about the vid... looks like a PR nightmare (another one) for MA..... doesn't seem to realize track cutting is frowned on, then looks super stoked to have won 15 hundy at a local cash race.... ooofffaahhhh....
