Supercross.com Cairoli Interview from last Sunday

PS- If this has alreay been posted, feel free to delete. I scanned through a few pages and didn't see any references to it, but on top of CRS, I also suffer from CSS and CHS.

Amanda: Dungey???

Tony: A great rider and one of the fastest riders on the planet!

I know people like to compare me with Ryan - we are both champions. I have seen things on the Internet that I have supposedly said about him. I would like to say that much of what has been written is not accurate and I did not say.

For example, there was a written interview recently that had me quoted as saying "MX2 guys are faster than Ryan". Not true. I never said anything like that.

People continually ask me who is faster. But I think you can't compare two different racers if they are not riding against each other, or in the same conditions.

Can you compare MotoGP to Formula 1? No. You can't make the comparison. Both have champions. Both have talented athletes. But you can't compare them. They are different worlds.

I don't know Ryan that well as a person, but we all know he is fast on his bike. And I think he's a nice person, with a good head, and both of his feet on the ground. I like that!

Amanda: Supercross in USA?

Tony: The best Supercross in the world!

As I said before, I'm talking with my team and KTM to come to USA and ride the first two supercross races. I see it as a nice new experience.

THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!

No hate coming from here, but he definatley sounded like he was extra nice when talking about Dungey after all that has happend in the last few weeks. I would say Everts is guiding him very well to make him more fan friendly... he has the speed obviously, he just needs the worldwide respect (which he may very well get this weekend) like Everts had.

"To be the best you have to beat the best"... AC or RD will prove that statement true this weekend I have a feeling.

I knew AC was a class act along with being one of the
fastest riders on the planet.I honestly think several
people on vital owe the man an apology for all the bad
things that were said about him. I also warned people
not to underestimate his riding abilities.maybe now we will
get to see how he stacks up against our best riders.I for one
can't wait. I hope he gets to come to america next year to race
a few selected races.I'm an american and a Canard fan.

so if he comes here in 2012 for the outdoors DAMN what a season that will be!! imagine if he won the outdoors on a 350!! ( which he stated suites his style of riding better) then i wonder if any of the other companies would jump on the bandwagon like they did when yamaha did the 400??

That is some FUNNY stuff with the title!!!

Beyond that, AC has me as a fan, especially if he comes over here. Competition will only make our guys faster!
