So here's the big question: Closed some months ago by Ryno, how come it's back within such a short time? Will it be gone next week?

Sure, if I win in the lottery. Could be possible if I start playing. It's a bit of a far trip for me to ride in powder and get my brain cooked in the heat.

First off it's about 10-15 degrees cooler then Temecula, we are at 4100 feet, it's beautiful with a nice breeze. Second yeah it got dry but by Sunday we had it figured out and the soil was new, all new area & tracks built, it needed riders to pack it down, was very loamy. People had a blast, the tracks were fun. My brother was approached with an opportunity to have a track he took it. He busted his ass to make it fun. The retro track has 1/3 Carlsbad raceway (my dad, Stu built in 1968) 1/3 Saddleback (again my dad helped build) and 1/3 Indian dunes, it was actually more popular then the Main Track !

My brother built all those tracks with his 2 helpers in a month and a half. It's beautiful and it's real motocross, not supercross, not flat track, it's motocross. We only run once a month so we don't get burned out. We have familys and we have jobs. Plus running it once a month makes people excited to ride there...

You can see helmet cam footage on our facebook page The Ranch. Thanks.

Lame Excuse on the powder. Loamy is good. Add H2O.

Carlsbad/Saddleback blue groove sucks.

Other than that, looks fun.

Nothing Lame and it wasn't an excuse, we had 4 water trucks running, we went through 500,000 gallons of water in 3 days, it needs lots of water, it was all trees and silt so it drank a lot of water, it'll be ready for next time ! I'd take Carlsbad & Saddleback blue groove any day over tracks of today...

I rode there on Friday. It was fun, except it was very very thick. Much better than it was when Ryno ran the place. Needs more water for sure, especially with hoses.

Had so many useless flaggers there! Don't know what's up with that!

Wish it could be open every weekend! Great to have more tracks to ride! Thanks for opening it!

I was there Saturday and I agree with Sondra. It's real motocross! It's not an easy track to ride, it tests all of your skills and techniques. It's an awesome facility A+ in my book! I loved it. They had to uproot so much brush to make the tracks that it left the soil loose. All that place needs is time and it will become better and better. The Peters family knows motocross and knows how to build a track, there is a reason Marc Peters is hired to do some national tracks, some pro's personal tracks, some SX tracks and Loretta Lynn's. Nuff said! I can't wait till next month to ride it again.

Sondra that looks sweet.

I wish we didn't live on the other side of the country, it would be cool to bring my son to ride at a place that has the track styles I grew up watching which made me love MX.

Knowing this is a family thing for you must make it even more special.
Hope you guys have many years of success with it.

Elsinore is closed...
Good. The place sucked anyway. Needed some loam.

You're supposed to see roost off back tires, not smoke.

Wow, and I thought some of the Texas riders bitched too much. You idiots in California must be way too spoiled on your track selection if you are bitching about "The Ranch." I wish I had the time/gas money to come out and ride that place. It looks amazing.....
