Went ahead and pulled the trigger on a 2013 KX450 as my demo and decided to sell the 2008 KX450. Have not had a chance to ride it yet since mother nature has not been cooperating and I have been working 60 hours a week at the store. Still waiting on my exhaust which I went with the FMF blue anodized titanium with the mega bomb header. Just waiting on a few more powder coating parts and I will be ready to rip!
I am really not a big fan of Monster logos but I feel that Stewarts bike from Lakewood in 2008 was the BEST looking 450 so this is me trying to replicate while adding my own touch.
Oh, and my little bro chilling in the shop not making it through the whole night with my dog, and possibly a few pics of the KZ!
I am still finishing up the frame and swing arm. I started with wet scotch bright. Then went to wet 600 grit, 1000 grit, 2000 grit, and finished off with mothers aluminum polish on a power ball.
Obviously you notice the CV4 hoses. I went with ARC levers because of the price compared to ASV's. Even at my cost from working at a dealership, the ASV's were quite pricey. I am tackling my seat cover tomorrow so wish me luck there. Renthal black sprocket and a gold DID chain as well, just for the looks of course.
I also want to give a HUGE shout out to Kim and Erica at DZ graphics. They really did a great job and I could not be happier with the way they turned out and the quality.
One thing I have noticed on my 2013 vs the older four strokes I have are the plastics! Man, they were a major pain in the ass to put back on compared to the other years I have owned. The little bit if work I have done to this bike was definitely more difficult. But, I am definitely not complaining. More time in the shop to me is usually a good thing!

The Shop
Here is the picture of James' bike from 2008 Lakewood
I would have gone with tan curtains to go with the particleboard look
In Oklahoma, all of the garages I had were insulated. When I moved here, the garage was unfinished so I insulated it and hung 1/2inch ply wood. The curtains were in the house when i moved here.
at least we get some SX this weekend eh
I am in Oshkosh. Shoot me an email at Jong@teamwinnebagoland.com
Tarz: Yeah man I did not get a chance to ride on the ice much either since I got up here so late. Are you hitting up the SX this weekend? Beers?
