Lakeland is set to open up once again. On my way to a shoot with Cianciarulo and Freeberg today we went right by it! So what did I do? Well i stood out in the middle of the interstate with my camera to bring you guys home a sneak peek. Looks pretty cool to might I add.

Lakeland Mx is located in Lakeland, Florida off I-4

God, Im so piss I want be here for the opening.
A great family that runs it.
I went out there about two weeks ago and the track looks so good, a lot bigger then the previous one.
Hope the turn out does well for the Winter AM's.

Looks a little Thundercrossy wonder if Dean had any influence. AND it would be nice to see it added to the South Florida MX Series!

definitely does look like Thundercross. Looks like a pretty fun track though. Glad to see it open up again

Is it the old Quick Track? Doesn't look like it with Oranges in the background? Where is it then? Same owner? Website? Opening date??

Hey Steve,

I haven't seen you in awhile.

It's the same people, new location, the opening date is end of January. The website is inactive, not sure why.

It's located a mile or two west of exit 48 on the south side of I-4 (across from the rest area).

It's very good news.

Same great family different location, they were non renewed on their old lease due to new developement (which last heard fell through). Just up I-4 a few exits (towards Orlando) from the old track. I'm sure they are more into having the track ready for the Winter Am than having their website up to date.

Too bad my kid won't have his cast off by then, Quick Track was always his favorite.

Hey Marty, good to hear from you! Hope all is well.

Been riding Pax a lot as my 2 boys are now riding and the pee-wee track is really nice there!!!

Looking forward to visiting this new place.

I hit Pax now and then, but usually on Saturdays. It's a great choice for you boys starting out, the pee wee track is great!

Something else, Shock Doc says that another MX track is opening in May 2010 at the New Smynra Raceway. Things are looking up!

Sorry I don't. I'm pretty sure Shock Doc knows. You might check the TT website site, that's where I learned about it. The news was they got permits and planned to be open in May, that was about a month ago.

No and No bunch of sad stuff as far as tracks go, did hear the old L-Cross is back!! Guy from Seminole rebuilt it and it sounds good and technical, want to get my kid down there before it gets tamed down to satisfy the masses.

Come up to East Bay MX they've got a good track and a great bunch running it. Right next to East Bay racewy which has been there forever.
