Short, Bell, Hughes and Bodnar on the Pulpmx Show Tonight
The Pulpmx Show presented by BTOSports.com comes in with some serious Dallas SX talk as hosts Steve Matthes and David Pingree tackle the awesome race from JerryWorld. There’s a lot to talk about and we’ll have a few eclectic guests on tonight to provide the best insight that they can and take your calls as well.
Andrew Short had the rug ripped out from under him when his L&MC team folded and the works Honda went bye-bye as well. On a production based bike with help from Kranyak Racing, Short’s been continuing his excellent riding until this weekend with a ninth. During the day, the news came that Short’s been picked up by the BTOSports.com KTM team starting this weekend in Atlanta and we’ll have Andrew on tonight to talk about the new ride and his season so far.
GEICO Honda’s Zach Bell had a very eventful weekend, his first supercross ever. The kid went from leading the heat race to a spectacular crash that will be featured forever on highlight reels everywhere. From there he somehow lined up for the LCQ, made the main and then crashed again once there. Thankfully, he called it a night but he showed some speed and some heart and we thought we’d have Zach on to talk about his night in Dallas-one that he’ll never forget.
Ryan Hughes doesn’t need an introduction as the one-time Kawasaki factory racer has thrilled many over the years. The Ryno crashed hard while out practicing and is on the mend right now. He’s also apparently called it a career in terms of riding to focus on his successful supplement business. We’ll have Ryan on tonight to talk about his crash, his recovery and what’s next.
Dr John Bodnar of the Asterisk medical crew is one of the pillars of the sport as week in and week out he’s there to take care of the racers and their families. This past weekend, Bodnar and his staff came under some fire from people for the Zach Bell incident and whether or not Bell should have been cleared to race after his gnarly crash. We’ll have Doc Bodnar on tonight to talk about the procedures that a racer has to go through to get back on the track and get his thoughts on the Impact concussion testing protocol.
And as always, we’ll have Western PowerSports’ own Jason Thomas on to offer up his opinion and insight on a variety of topics as he drops in and out of the show.
Our regular phone screener and part-time producer Tits Legendary will be here to answer your calls. Have a question for the show? Send it over on Twitter @titslegendary and he’ll get it on.

You have to think that Andrew not bad mouthing KTM was remembered from the KTM family.
