Exactly my point...

People, especially in this economy, dont have extra money to be dealing with paypal...

Just google "potential issues with paypal."

their are tons of articles and horror stories about what has happened to people that pay/recieve money via paypal.

Have him send the money then after 46 days ship the bike to him because then they cannot do anything about the money that has been sent or claim "hacked acount" bs. I had an issue with paypal once and i will never use them again. After someone makes a payment they have 45 days to make a claim. Someone claimed after 4 days it wasnt there account blah blah blah and i got screwed, luckily only over a hundred bucks but still not the point. Avoid paypal at all costs imo.

No. The buyer cannot "cancel" the payment. It is true that the buyer can file a claim against you if he or she does not receive the item. Claims are usually decided in the buyers favor. Always purchase delivery confirmation/tracking. Always insure your item for it's actual value. If you have been communicating through e-mail try to get a phone number and talk to them. Generally you are fine, but there is always a risk...

Im not going to sit here and argue with you, but I've seen it happen a few different times. of course the senders gotta be an idiot to send the items without seeing the money in hand though...

Yeah man, people buy stuff all the time with paypal and then once they get the product/ merchandise they file a dispute and with clever social engineering they get refunded and the seller loses out. Seen it happen numerous times.
Not trying to argue, just pointing out that the information that you gave is incorrect. The buyer cannot just cancel their payment if they feel like it. The buyer has to file a claim and yes the majority of times the claim is filed in the buyers favor. As I said before, there is always a risk. It's to bad people can't just be honest.

You have to look at it from the (honest) buyers side too. The great thing about paypal is that there is buyer protection. If you send the seller money and the seller sends you nothing, you can get your money back. There is a trade off either way. If you can think of a better way I'd love to hear it...or better yet start a funds transferring business, i'd be your first customer...
