New AX format-thoughts?

I think it's "kind of" cool I guess? They definitely needed some change , but I'm not a big fan of the inversion starts. Forcing the 1st place guy from moto 1 in 8th or 16th is a little strange ( although it didn't hurt Bowers ).

I think instead of an 8th or 16th spot.....they should at least have a hat or something where they get to draw a number between 1-16.

BUT....I will agree it makes it more interesting. I just think the top guys deserve a little more respect on the gate then being shoved back to the 16th spot if they won the moto before. These guys do this stuff for a living.....so they get put back behind all the slower dudes......it's going to end up taking out a contender one of these nights as he's trying to move up through the pack.

Just my thoughts anyways.

I guess it does add excitement. The one thing I absolutely hate though is resetting the points like NASCAR does.

Another thing that kind of goes along with AX that I'm going to hate is the "Ricky Carmichael road to SX".

I like it. I also like the 2 lap bracket races. Both bring something different than the normal format. AX is a great place to try different things before they use them at SX.

The inversion is just a gimmick to cause crashes to get asses in the seats, and could end a career if things go wrong.

that's what I was thinking in regards to the head-2-head races.

Have not been to one live, the one I saw on TV was a confused mess.

Me thinks the riders think it is silly.

i was completely against it when i saw it live on tv for the opening round......although i still think it should be twin 15 or twin 20 lap mains, i funking loved it in baltimore!

everyone of the head to head match ups were nail biters (minus bowers shoving gibson off the track into the tuff blocks on the first lap).
