I was wondering what gear company are true to the sizes. I'm a 38 pant and a XXL Jersey. I tried on a Thor pair of pants on today and they were not a 38. Which gear company is true to size? Also, I'm trying to decide between the Alpinestar Bionic SB neck brace and the Moto-GPX Club Leatt Brace. Which one would be better fitting? I'm also trying to decide between the EVS Web Knee Braces and the Asterisks. Any preference? Any help would be appreciated!

Well i wear a size 32 for jeans and my oneal pants are size 30 and fit just fine. So i would say they are pretty true to size. But other than that i wouldnt recommend oneals, the pants feel weird. Like the space between the waistline and where the legs start is just too big. If that makes any sense.

As far as gear I can say this.
Fox seems to run a small in the thighs. The waist and knees are fine but the thighs are tight.

Oneal seems to run true to size/alittle big.

Thor seems to run alittle small/tight all around.

Answer runs pretty true to size.At least the 2010 JS7 gear.I had a friend who works at a dealership say the JS7 stuff fits different than the normal high end gear from answer though.Said the normal stuff fits looser.

I should have some 2010 no fear gear here on monday or tuesday and can report back on that as well.Got some rogue and elektron stuff comming so I can tell you about that soon.

if you have the thunder thighs like i do the best ive seen for pants design is with the stretchy stuff going from the hip to the knee. the oneal are best so far.

and just to give you an idea on how those oneal pants are, if i ever had to wear knee braces these are the only regular fit and not the baggy where id have any chance of fitting a knee brace in.

I've got a Alpinestars Brace...

Try one on first dude, I think the sizing chart is too generic... I'm wide across the shoulders and according to the chart I should have been a large, tried it on, it was flapping around in the breeze, you'd have to be a barrel for it too work...

Just try that for sure...

I've heard Thor runs small, but not sure...

I got TLD 36 pants and they fit right for me, same as my 501 Jeans!

I have No Fear, Shot, and Fly pants. All are very good with sizing. Ive had good Answer pants which were pretty much bang on. I've had cheaper Answer stuff which wasn't even close, and stretched out horribly! And as for Oneal......they should be ashamed of the crap they put their name on.

I've been running Oneal gear for about three years now and have been very satisfied with all their stuff. I use the hardware. This is coming off Answer alpha stuff.

Their gear also seems more true to size for me than the Answer. The Answer always seemed short in the stride area. My 34 Oneal stuff fits great though.

I had a pair of Oneal over the boot pants. Spent more money on getting them sewed back together than I paid for the pants. Had a pair of Oneal shin guards as well. They weren't the cheapest ones either. They broke in half with only a couple of uses.

I wear a 34 in jeans. I bought a pair of Shift size 34 pants a couple years back, and while they seemed to fit OK in the shop when I got home and tried them on with boots and knee gaurds they were crazy huge and puffed out over my thighs. It was like I was wearing MC Hammer's pants. I swapped them out for 32's and they fit fine.

The Thor gear I have owned also runs a bit big, 32 on pants fit fine.
