Any input? I've never heard of them and a buddy wants me to stick one in his bike.

Always been a big fan of Art. I suppose they are as good as any.

I have heard of them though.

Cast pistons.

Usually manufactured in the same factory and to the same specs as stock, for less dough.

Good quality. I used to work for a company that distributed them and we had some loyal users who loved them and extremely few returns or failures.

Thanks Rooster. Looked them up and the features seem good and they are cheap as dirt I've now found out. Here's a link if someone wants to check it out.

Art is a big OEM supplier. Stock shit works.

On my turbo, I have the domes ceramic coated.

Are you really saving from OEM? Just curious.

Most times, no. I'll be honest, I've never seen the use of moly coated skirts make a difference, and if you look under most OEM pistons, they have the manuf name stamped/cast in.

At one time, you could buy ART pistons direct cheaper if you bought I think 6 or more. That was easy.. Then it got popular and dealer OEM was then same thing same price really.

Whatever happend to Pro-X and Niks pistons? The were cast and I think some aftermarket shops sold them.

SPI was or is a OEM supplier too that had moly skirts. I seized/broke quite a few, and for me if ART is good enough for OEM, its good enough for me.

For some reason, I think Namura is a rebranded SPI, I could be mistaken.

I just looked my 01' CR125 up on ebay. Piston kit shipped to my front door is $51.99. That's piston, ring, pin and circlips. I don't know what an OEM kit costs.
