Milestone.....quads and bikes....

Edited Date/Time 1/26/2012 1:22pm
at the same time?! Just watching this Cairoli vid from Transworld and it looks like Milestone has quads and bikes on the track at the same time.....seems kinda crazy with the lawsuits you have over this topic and then you also see Cairloi out there with the quads? http://motocross.transworld.net/1000106219/news/catching-up-with-antoni…

Ive never understood that. Not only is it dangerous, but they ruin the track Dizzy They used to do that all the time here but then all tracks here seperated practices. Then a few years ago one of our local tracks started allowing them on the track together again. Bunch of people complained and threatened to never return until the practices were seperated. They agreed and then not long after they gave those couches on wheels thier own track to ruin Smile

I notice that the quad rider was going with the traffic, not holding anyone up in the video. I do agree that it can be dangerous because they do things differently (approach the corner, jump, etc). No one mentioned the minis on the track, they can be equally dangerous, they just don't jack up the ruts like the quads do.

Thats one of the Factory Can-Am quad racers, if nothin else 95% of the bikes were holding him up for sure, and I agree the minis are bad too but what can you do, if you can't control your bike enough to go past these people and ride smart then you shouldn't be allowed on any track.

Most quad riders are like bombs on the track, they blow out the berms. Milestone is no different. It is very dangerous most of the time, except maybe for that Can-Am rider. I really dislike the quads.

Milestone has a track specifically built for the couches, but it's pretty tame so on Tuesday they allow them on the Moto track. That is why I never ride there on Tuesday....

Thanks for the clarification.
When I rode there in May '10, it was not a Tuesday and the quads stayed on the Novice/Quad track, opposite the Main track, so it was cool!

Seriously? U can't even see the minis half the time......they are dropped down in between jumps.....half the time stalled out......and their lack of knowledge at that age of how to be safe on an mx track is very limited at best.. The quads....some of those guys are fast but they ride so differently than bikes that it's dangerous. We know there are fast guys but a fast guy in the wrong spot at the wrong time is a danger.....reread your post dude.....

Exactly, as hard as it is for that 95% of bike guys to accept. Fast quad riders don't plow the track either, its the C-class guys and trail turkeys.....same as in the bike classes. I think it has alot more to do with rider skill level than the machine they are on. Pro and A guys together and B and C guys together, any machine, any track. Minis should always have their own practice.

in the 1st riding clip while AC is blasting the whoops, theres a mini bike rider not even paying attention to his riding cause AC is rollin threw. and then there the "pro" on the KFX behind him trying his damndest to keep up with the World Champ threw the same set of whoops and looking like he wads himself after swapping out.

and ya guess are cryin about a Pro Quad rider out on the track. hahahahaha funny!!!!!!

I would think KTM would be paying him enough that he could afford invisalign by now, jesus christ Mr. Ed.

Apparently in Italy that's what a good looking man looks like though based in his lady friend.
