name some of the lamer gimmicks that we have seen in motocross. I will start with the dual piped crf250. honda said it was to balance the bike better....hmmm.. you know who ate this up was non-riders. car nuts. they love dual pipes cuz on a v8 thats what you want. but not in mx bro...

Rear-fender plates on the KX line in 1981 or '82?

yeah...what ever happened to the 20inch rear wheels? team kawasaki tried them in the early 2000s...20inch fronts have died off. i rode with a 20 inch front before, and it was OK on hardpack, but it seemed like it would hunt around on soft dirt

DC, i liked the dehandlers.

i thought the left side kick start on the 78 CR250 was crappy. and the chrome cylinder.

Go back and read DC's comment again.He said they turned air coolers into water coolers,not the other way around like you posted...side note,in early 80's Dynamic Racing out of michigan turned the YZ 100's into water coolers too.I pretty sure they supplied Roth,Bowen,Mcclaren etc. there liquid cooled bikes.
