And the suspension uses linkage. There's hope for us motocrossers yet.

They didn't mention street legal in the article but numerous references to a track racer.

"With X-Bow prices starting at $86,000, you've got to wonder how KTM plans to make money out of this thing. But project boss Stefan Riedler is confident: "The break-even point is 4,000 cars, and we plan to make 1,000 per year. With the race program in the FIA's [Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile] new GT4 category, we might break even sooner than that. This combination of styling, performance and especially technology is just not currently available."

For such a wild-looking thing, KTM admits it has erred on the side of caution to begin with. So right now, the 2008 KTM X-Bow is a track car that's looking for a great road."

Yeah, after reading the link it looks like just a track/race car. Put some windows on that bad boy and market it as a street car. ha.

If you look closely, above the exhaust on the back it looks like there is a license plate frame. Also, there are two bolt holes on the front. Not to mention the turn signals front and rear....

Looks like they are going for street legal to me, but who knows.

That SCREAMS midlife crisis. They need a top for that thing to keep the hair plugs from dislodging.

i read somewhere when the concept first came out that the car would come with full face street bike style helmets that matched the car. this was due to the car having no windshield... helmets will hold in hair plugs

That's the nicest go kart I've ever seen. Wonder if DeCal Works makes a graphic kit?

they can build a car, yet welding some tabs on a swing arm and adding a linkage is too difficult
