Just wondering if anyone has any feedback or experience with the new kids electric bikes?
Positives and negatives?
Thanks!

Great bike for absolute beginners and something that will last from age 3 to age 9.

Adjustable power settings, can run it short with 10in wheel like a KTM mini or tall as a 50 SR with the 12.
Troy Lee has one with 65 wheels on it and a stuff shock!

Now for the bad. As a race bike at national level you get 4 laps before power drop off due to battery life.
On tracks with doubles etc battery drop off is dangerous as on lap 1 your kid is doubling, by lap 4 the bike is rolling the double.
Your kid can’t ride endlessly as you get 15 minutes riding followed by 60 minutes of charging.
None of your friends park by you at the track as you have an obnoxious generator running 24/7.
Did I mention they are $6k the price of 2 cobra JRs or 3 PW50s!

It’s a great add on to your racing program if you are already racing the other 4-6 classes. It is a great backyard bike and round the neighborhood bike. But if your kid is only going to have one dirt bike. This is not it.

It's my favorite bike purchase ever. My 7 year old son has one and a CRF 70. He rides the gas gas until it's dead then hops on the 70 while it charges. He's a beginner/intermediate mx rider. Will finish mid pack in a 50 senior class. On our home track and trails which are mostly hard, the bike will run 40 minutes. We race a hare scramble series that runs a 20 minute race and he has 50-70% battery left after it. I don't see it as a great choice for serious mx racers or if it is your only bike. When my daughter is 4 I'll be buying another and installing the lowering kit. No more PW 50s for me.

We take a generac gp3000i to the races on the back of the truck. Super quiet and tops off the battery after each set of motos.

He charges it and gets it ready by himself. No issues yet and I'm guessing he has 30 hours on it. When we got it he rode every night for a week straight lol. Doesn't miss his cobra senior one bit.

Thanks for the reply.
I find the KTM 50 so difficult to ride for my boy. It’s mostly all or nothing. Maybe I could try and adjust the clutch to engage earlier, but I’m thinking the electric version will be much easier to ride.
