I have read most of the information and opinions about Jason.

There are others involved in Jason's career who should be taking part of the blame for his off and on track performances.

Jason has been the same since his amateur days, at least in attitude. Along with his talents on a bike, his attitude and lack of respect is what got him a YOT ride and number 1 plate. It is a package that allows him to ride with the best.

If someone takes on this package then they should have put together a program to help ensure that Jason was in a position to not allow the escalation of his personality into law breaking, arrests and eventual dismissal from racing.

From my standpoint, I like Jason and his 'never say die' attitude, it is what makes him a great rider but you cannot take a kid, give him a lot of money, move him to California, have people around him that perpetuate negative outcomes and then act as if he is a responsible adult.

Just one opinion.

Alan, I totally agree with your statement. I've known Jason since he rode the minis and his attitude on the track very impressive. But when kids move from youth to adult and they don't have guidance to teach them about the realities of life, then things can go wrong. And that is exactly what has happened to Jason.

All you do is trash the kid. You are one of the few who actually seem to want him gone. Most agree he should get his act together but they don't completely hate him. They don't even know him. You and 500guy should ride of into the sunset. You are both too grumpy.

Before this gets completely off subject and misinterpreted.

Is Jason responsible for his own actions? YES

If someone hires a person known to have issues, are they partly responsible? YES

If people are around this person and do not try to adjust the situation, are they partly responsible? YES

If someone takes this person on, in whatever capacity, and knows his issues, is he or she partly responsible? YES.

There is more to this in some respects, thats all.

I guess these guys need to trade their mechanics in for babysitters because that is exactly what it sounds like the first post is implying.

Don't come in here preaching TEAM bullshit. Jason obviously didn't give a RATS ASS about his team or team mates. If he did, he wouldn't have kept doing the dumb shit over and over. Chance after chance!! He got what he deserved!!

His Team stood by him numerous times!! At some point you have to realize it was time for them to cut sling load!! Jason failed himself and his team. They didn't fail him.

Nothing flew over my head. The TEAM should not have to babysit him. His TEAM was probably tired from working all week and getting the bikes ready for WORK the next day. I wonder how his new mechanic felt knowing that he wasted all his time prepping a bike that wasn't going to get used because his dumbass rider was in jail.

You can twist it however you want, But the bottom line is, He is a adult and people should not have to babysit him to keep him in line. He Fucked up to many times and now he gets to pay for it ! End of story !
