Its awesome that we get to see our favorite riders start a whole new season tomorrow. I only wish SX was shorter and AX was in the fall with a live broadcast.

Anyway is there any other major sport that has 2 championships in the same year with the same participants? I cant think of one.

Golf has multiple championships a year. But a part from that I can't think of another sport.

In a way it's similar to moto. Moto has 2 championships but in two different series and both are held over "X" amount of rounds/races. The one with the most points and the end wins the title. Golf championships are held over 4 rounds of golf. The guy with the lowest score after the 4 rounds wins the championship. There's 4 major championships in golf. As far as I know that's the only other sport that I know of that has more than 1 championship in a season.

I would assume that tennis works very similar to golf in terms of championships. Players go head to head with the winner moving to the next bracket all the way to the final two with the winner of the last match winning the title for that event.

I'm not exactly sure but I think tennis has a lot of different tournaments throughout the year with only a few big events that are championships like Wimbledon.

Yeah well if Feld has their way expanding the SX series you can wave goodbye to the Nationals.
Not sure if the gates will even be full this year and if not you can say it's over cos if not Feld will see blood in the water and go in for the kill.

Me too and to a lesser extent the shift from west coast SX 250 to east coast kicking some life into the season.
