Beats Chad in one of the showdowns and only loses to him in one final by 1.9 seconds...either Chad's got a lot of work to do adapting to his Honda, no doubt, but credit to Hanson for keepn it on 2 wheels. oops, Hansen I mean, Duh!

your under rating Hansen, he was (to me) the fast sx rider on his team last year and not to mention he rides (trains) sx year round. give it chad was on a new bike with lots less riding time than the rest. Chad did well, so did hansen and brayton.

I believe it was his first race on a 450, with almost no practicing on it .

Not trying to cut down Hansen but the final races were only 8 minutes long. I think he's a great rider but there are a lot more guys that can stay with Chad in an 8 minute race versus a 15+ minute race.

Yep, Donnie's still doing schools. Talked to him briefly on Saturday at Milestone, after he'd driven out from Colorado. And yes, he was a bad man back in the day.

x2 plus jet lag with a 15 hour time difference I think. Good ride for Hansen and good to see he is continuing to progress with his riding and as a person. Check out his interview with Transmoto, that rock star attitude is gone and he presents himself as a nice guy with nothing negative to say contrary to how he was during his tough times.

This could be strictly in my own head, but I believe Donnie's response to the realization that Josh was flushing it all down the toilet was responsible for the kid straightening it out and going back after his place in the sun.

There are a lot of myths out there about the return of Hunny-Bux, but I think his dad had a lot to do with it, and the ProCircuit thing only happened because he had a LOT of people who were willing to give him a second chance. In particular, Hansen Beverages...(Monster)...and without them, Josh Hansen is not a Mitch Payton type rider. The combination of Monster, Mitch, and l'il Hanny have been anything BUT a failure.

I still think it was a last minute appeal from one of the USA's most memorable Pros ever, and a hard talkin'-to from a dad, that steered the boat in the right direction again.

Don't let us down, Josh. Don't let that guy, who just happens to be one of the most inspirational American athletes of my lifetime, down.

I'm still amongst the faithful.

Now WORK for it, you little fucker!

Not talking fitness here, guy. Listen, there are guys that I race with that I am sure I am pulling similar lap times to. Yet for some reason, at the end of a 20 minute moto, they beat me by a good 20 seconds. In a short 4 lapper, I can hang right with them, even beat them. 20 minutes is not a problem for me, but it's the little mistakes that make the difference between right there after 8 minutes and 20 seconds back after 20 minutes. Reed doesn't make mistakes, not many at least, and Hansen doesn't either, but he does make more than Chad. And I'm talking little mistakes, that to the average viewer would usually be unnoticeable. That's why in a race in America, Hansen typically won't be with Chad, but in the land of Oz, he's a contender.
