Dont let the 17th place second moto say much he was laying on the ground in a first turn pile up. He started last or second last and a good distance behind the leaders and the majority of the field he rode strong through the pack and was charging hard to the chequered. Good first ride here down under for Hansen.

And i think he also had another moment with another rider part way through the second moto too but i only saw him remounting the bike and taking off, dont think it was serious but it still would of slowed his progress in the race, as it was he was only a few seconds behind 16th and 15th.
Would of been a bit different for Hansen riding an outdoor national in cold winter weather.

let's stop with the excuses for Josh.

Man, work your ass off and come back and take over where you belong on the SX series and come back for the Nats.

I think you got lazy, Josh.

I assume hes racing in the sand of Wanneroo West Australia next weekend. That will be interesting. It makes Southwick look like a freeway and its about as far away from supercross as youll ever get.

Was surprised to see Hanson at the track today, he looked smooth but was expecting better results, maybe just an indication of how good the other riders are in the class. Is he riding the rest of the series?

AshleyMX, have to been to Southwick? I have been to Southwick and also been to Wanneroo a couple of times and I don't think it makes Southwick look like a freeway!

Anyway, looking forward to racing next weekend!! Well done to Moss in 250 class.

Hanson is just a fast Local A rider now. The sport has passed him by. He is 100% irrelevant in the MX world..

Just as you are only I highly doubt you have ever made it to the A class.

The kid is working at getting his life in order and people like you are still slamming him. If you don't have anything good to say about the kid then why say anything at all?

Been to Southwick twice actually. Last year it was groomed all day. I was very dissapointed it was so smooth. Compared to Wanneroo track last year for our nats Southwick was a freeway.

good for Hansen to at least try to make a come back. He has to start somewhere. Best of luck to him and getting on the right path.

My Josh Hansen memory-

Glen Helen in '06. Practice. An obvious privateer got stuck in the mud at the entrance to Jody's mud pit. He sat there for at least 10 minutes, by himself, trying to get the bike out. He worked and pulled and pushed till he got free. Got it running and off he went.

Almost as soon as he got out, Josh went into the same rut. Stuck. He just got off the bike and started walking back to the pits. Didn't even try to get it out.

Just saying...
