In 1987, I was 14, my first Hangtown, amatuer day, my uncle was friends with the regional Suzuki rep, Larry Hartnett, I think... They took me out to the track, I was jazzed to see my buddy, the aforementioned Tallon Vohland blowing up the intermediate classes. Larry tells me to head back to his trailer, so I head back to find Bob Hannah himself! They were selling hats and Bob was signing them for people... After the crowd died down, we were all hanging around listening to Bob Hannah stories. He got up to leave, picked up a hat and Hangtown button, signed it and gave it to me... All I could say was " I have no money to pay for this hat". Bob just winked and said 'I do'.... I might as well have won the lottery... Hannah was the man!

awesome scottie, first time in a while that i'm gonna miss hangtown. not in the cards this time around but i am planning for a pala getaway for the finale.

i'll see if i have any hangtown stuff other than what you guys have here

I could contribute tons of stuff videos to this forum, but I always thought it was kind of inappropriate to post them in the main forum. But it seems like they're never seen in the video room? Is it cool to start a video thread in the main forum OC?

By the way, the first 450 moto from HTown in 2006 is an all time classic. Stewart and RC going at it heavyweight style.
