Pix: Oldekamp Wins Youngsters, Nagl Is German Champion
Cold and storm awaited the riders and spectators of the penultimate round of the ADAC cup in Teutschenthal when Germany’s fan favourite Roczen struggled with crashing and Nagl rode a class of his own to go for an early campionship win. The bad weather not only kept many fans from coming to whitness the races but also forced the promotor to delay the time schedule for 1 hour but also shorten the circuit and race distance as the storm made it real dangerous to ride some places. Nobody could keep the pace of speedy Nagl who went for an easy double race win and made enough points on 2nd Desalle (dnf-2) who crashed out in the 1st race. 3rd in the rankings Nemeth finished 2-4. The nice Hungarian who earlier struggled with an infection and now is physically shaky with an injured knee (He’ll undergo surgery soon.) bit through the races and protected his 3rd place in the championship. Nagl and Nemeth shared podium with Frenchman Renet who succeeded in a final attack on the Hungarian in the 2nd race and finished 4-3. For Youngsters series leader Roczen the 1st race was a bit of a nightmare when he crashed a couple of times and needed to ride up back from the pack so that he could only finish 10th. But evil Ken was back in the 2nd race and went for the win. Podium was Oldekamp (2-2), Baudrexl (3-3) and Roczen (10-1), who now leads the championship with 20pnt.
