With Evans moving up to HRC 450 and Vlaanderen over and up to Gebben Yamaha 450, I see a good dual shaping up as they are around the same speed. Vlaan's got more experience on circuit but feel Evans results have been better in a shorter amount of time. Might be a bit of pride on the line too with Evans taking what seemed like Vlaan's ride.
I'll be watching this closely anyhow. Flame away 🔥🔥🔥

2019 he missed a bunch of rounds from an injury. The way he rode when he came back I believe he could have finished top 3 overall.
Can't wait to see him on the 450.

Imo for the #2 spot at HRC you either sign an established top 5 rider, or a young talent who you think can develop into a winner in a year or 2-3. I'm a Vlaanderen fan, but it's clear that HRC does not see him as a future top 5/winner in mxgp and therefor it's really not that relevant what he does in 2020 (unless he starts collecting podium finishes).
The interesting bit will be if Evans can develop into a winner/top 5 rider.
That sort of pressure, is hard to deal with, and very cut throat. Too many riders - it doesn't matter what Nationality - are subjected to that, I feel.
