Bring some tearoffs! You'll need them.
Ryan Dungey is riding so good right now, that he is winning easily. Everyone here is saying Stewart and Villopoto are faster than him, argueably. Ryan is winning so easy that if he was challenged by someone like Stewart or Villopoto right now, would he be able to hang it out past his normal pace and beat them? Is his current speed enough to beat James or RV? Or has he gotton too comfortable riding his consistant winning pace that he would settle in and not risk getting hurt. Which has gotton Villo and Stewart hurt in the past. The old saying goes, in order to win championships you must put yourself in contention every race. Nobody is doing that except RD, this isn't argueable, Ryan Dungey is the man right now.
2009 West SX
2009 Lites MX
2009 MXDN
2010 AMA SX
looking good for 2010 AMA MX..
and my favorite for the 2011 SX series.
Dungey has the speed of someone like Ricky (not always the fastest, but always in contention). He also has the work ethic of someone like Ricky, and the consistancy. Even for future seasons, will anyone have the consistancy to beat him? Indoors he has the speed to keep Stewart atleast honest, which puts Stewart on the ground sometimes. Chad Reed seems over it, been there done that, has a family, and has bigger responsibilities. Ryan Villopoto hasn't found consistancy in the 450 class, I don't think Jake Weimer will have the speed right off the bat, Trey Canard will be a solid top 5 threat but not championship threat, Christophe Pourcel is questionable but will be hard to beat as always.
2011 AMA SX Prediction
1. Ryan Dungey
2. James Stewart
3. Christophe Pourcel
