Last night was opening round, (sort of) of the 2008/2009 Arenacross series. It was listed as a prequel where no points were
given, only pride and cash. Not many of the top riders showed up, Josh Demuth was the top rider from last year. Chad Johnson, Brock Sellards, Kelly Smith, Kevin Johnson and others didn't make the trip. I did see Robbie Reynard walking around. He was unable to ride due to a broken hand he sustained a few weeks ago. He did say that he is running the 2009 Series.
Here are a few photos from night one.
2008 Miss AX Ashley Phillips with the newly crowned 2009 Miss AX Lindsey (Center)
#86 Michael Willard grabbing the start in the Arenacross Heat race.
John Dehn with the holeshot in the Arenacross Main event.
The lead was short lived as he dropped the nose in the first rythem section and hit the eject button.
