I have it set up. It will be on May 11 (Monday). This is the only time until the end of July. May 10 is Mother's Day. We plan on meeting in Stillwater, OK on Saturday and riding on Sunday at "The 500 club". It is all trails. Then Monday, we can hit the track around 9:00 until dark... It will be fully prepped, just like a race day.



Anyway, I need to know who all is planning on going. Ideally it would be good to have between 30 and 50 riders.

I will email a pass before the day of the event. In order to keep EVERYBODY that reads this board out, you will need the pass to get in.

have you checked with the city of stillwater-parks and recreation regarding the 500? last i heard, they had raised membership costs to $75/year and were not issuing one-day or guest passes.

In that town, no hotels are very far from the bar! Its a pretty small place. We should set up a home-base though. I plan on staying at a hotel, that has a bar myself.

i know they raised the membership price to $75. i think it changed march 1st. i was talking to one of the officers and told him that i only ride there once or twice a year and that would price me out. i asked if they had one-day passes or if you could get in with a member and he said they were looking at options but nothing was decided yet - this was probably three weeks ago.

The bad thing...May 9 is OSU's graduation. Nobody in Stillwater has rooms for Saturday night. We might stay in Tulsa and get there early Sunday morning.

Found this place. Its in Guthrie, I think 35 miles from Stillwater. I tried to book 9 rooms for the 10th and it was going to let me. It does have a bar/lounge. Oh, its a Best western, and I think its like 90 bucks. Sorry I didnt do more research, Im getting some freaky text msgs so that takes presidence over this right now!

Guthrie is a little dive town so don't expect much, but it's only about 35 or 40 mins from the track. Tulsa on the other hand is a decent town about an 1hr and 15mins from the track.

I used to own Cooperland up until mid 2006, I still lurk this forum and saw this post so I thought I would help you guys out if you need any. Guthrie is only 20 min from the track itself, Stillwater is 15 so if you have to stay in Guthrieits not that bad, other than jmar is right, Guthrie is not as much fun as Stillwater especially on graduation week. I left a message for Kenny Bartram to see if he was going to be in town that day to see if you guys want him to come put in some laps with you or maybe he will take you guys over to his place so you can see who has the nuts to flip into his foam pit.....or just watch. Anyway let me know if I can help.

I would if I wasnt in freezing cold Wisconsin. I moved back here when I sold the track. I used to love doing things like this when I was down there. Why the heck didnt we have a motodrive/vital ride day back then? I can ask some of the local fast guys or a couple freestylers that also put in some fast laps if they can make it out to put on a little show or something for you guys. If you guys dont want more riders no biggie...

My goal is to get around 50-60 riders there. I am a member at another site that has around 20 guys coming. Less than 40 riders show up...it's an expensive weekend for me!

I'm pretty sure that some fairly "fast" guys will be there.

If anybody wants to come that you know, have them email me and I'll get them a pass. I don't want to leave the gate open to whoever shows up with $25.00...or we'll have 200 locals lined up.

No pass, no entry.
