Congrats to Team USA

Edited Date/Time 10/1/2012 10:56am
They gave it their all, and got 3rd, no shame in that.
They lacked speed and sand experience, it bit them a few times. (happens to everyone at some point in Lommel.)

Congrats to Germany, especially Schiffer, he surprised me.

Congrats to Belgium, our boys went all out, had some mechanical issues, or it would've gone to the wire.

Sorry some fans booed team USA, I didn't like it, but with the crown, come the thorns. (think that's said corrrectly ?)

Great day of racing, really enjoyed Herling and Cairoli's performance.
Also De Reuver, he showed speed and endurance, too bad he crashed in the start of his final heat.

Special note for Josh Coppins leading his country from the B final to a top 10 spot an hour later in race 1.
Thanks for all these great years and enjoy your retirement.

P.S.: I was actually there, unlike most internetheroes here.

Been to three MXoN's and have always had a good experience with the Fans across the pond, just a good family of sportsmanship in the MX Nations

So it is true that Team USA got booed. Unfucking real.

Couple of drunken monkeys, they didn't ruin a great MXoN experience.

More people applauded when they got on the box itself, receiving their 3rd place trophy.

Well said Brak, glad you had a good time!

When all is said and done, no matter who you were rooting for, it was a great weekend of racing! Totally brutal track, saw some AMAZING riding, and drama by the truckloads!

...and i too was so stoked for DeRoooover! He rode really well!

Stoked for Germany to bring home their 1st Chamberlin trophy.

All the bickering and back and forth bullshit on the boards makes me sick sometimes, but in no way would it ever ruin such an iconic event such as the MXDN for me.

Weirdly, before this weekend I'd always been a bit undecided about Barcia. But Im a real fan now.

I thought he conducted himself well in the interviews he gave and rode great in the last race. Must have been a tough weekend for him in many ways. He's like a reincarnation of a rider from the 70's.

BTW, there will always be dickheads at Motocross events (and I saw my fare share this weekend!) but while the few boos during the presentation were totally unacceptable I should point out that the USA guys did get a very warm reception during the team introductions on the Saturday evening, and they were very gracious in their interviews. All three of them are good guys!

Not sure Mike?

What bothers me the most around here, is that the more offensive the post, the more attention it garners. So who is more at fault, the creator of such rubbish, or the person who actually responds to it?

I have been saying it for years, it is really not that hard to simply ignore the trolling bullshit and before you know it, it simply falls off the front page, but instead we have the positive threads like these that suffer the fate that the trolling bullshit should.

The pathetic back and forth bickering will go on for ever and fill up the whole front page in such a short time on a day like today, we could all use a little more positive content, such as this.

Its getting really old and one of the reasons i probably spend ore time on twittter than i do here nowadays.

...anyway...back to the football game! GOOO Giants!

Well put.

Congrats to Germany and Belgium. Those guys deserve it!

US riders have nothing to be ashamed about.

Have been to a few MXoN and came across US fans that, well, eventually got what was coming . Also hungout with some GB guys down to DT Denver and had a blast. WIll never forget the english kids doing burnouts on local Harlies in the DV mountains.

All in all a great MXdN

Josh Coppins is a friggin' BEAST! What is he? 37?38?

If we had a GP Hall of Fame, Coppins would be first ballot.
