Awesome photos.

That final battle between Justin, Eli and Jake was amazing. And then I couldn't believe how much time Eli and Jake put on everyone else once they were 1 and 2 up front - 17 seconds on Brayton (though Justin's looking very fast himself) in 5 laps I think it was! Crazy. I hope we get another one like that today.

Sorry to see Christophe down hard, I suppose that'll be it for 2012 given the way they carted him off.

He walked off the track - but if those reports about his spleen are true... could be the final nail in the coffin for him. Sad

He looked like he was riding ok last night, won his semi final, 3rd fastest in the Superpole but had some shitty luck with his starts; he was crowded out in both the Course a l'American and the Final.

I was talking with someone here who knows him pretty well, and he was speculating that this might have been Christophe's last race regardless.

If you ask me it seems he can not overcome the fear of crashing anymore.

I've also heard speculation that he'd rather ride a lites bike than the big-bore.

From CP's bookface - "Important: the After Race Party tonight is maintained in support CP operated this morning!" No riding tonight, but he's gonna party!

Crap. It's going to take some time for some of us to take this in, but right now we are really grasping for even shorter straws for his career taking a good turn.

Dunno if a better bike would have make a difference at this point. Training is lacking obviously, but who is to blame there? Sigmund Freud, RVs bike and a Saudi prince with a CP-fetish might have changed things? But there's no Saudi prince with that fetish, and Freud is dead.

On Lebig they mention an exploded spleen. He spent the night in the hospital and was supposed to go into surgery this morning. Bummer!
