I was browsing some pic folders looking for the white RM that TP rode, ran across a folder from the 2005 racing season. It was a strange year, most riders chose to ride 250's in SX and switched to 450's outdoors. So here is some random Bike Pics Of The Day - circa '05. (at least i hope they are all '05, my folders were not as organized back then as i have learned to do through the years now)

Come take a trip down memory lane, feel free to join in and share your pics and memories...

Yea man i loved that bike!

Of course i could of gone on forever for each manufacturer, but started to get a bit faded at the end. Still fun looking back!

If anyone has anything to add from the 2005 bikes, please do so!

*but please dont quote the above pics posts, its really jacks up the thread.

I have a Fonseca #24 jersey from Daytona '05. Really need to get that one autographed and framed for the mancave. Cool pics, maybe you could put them on discs and sell to certain deserving Vital members. Or we could just make a "donation"....

I understand that, Scottie.

My father was a polio victim since 3 months after he was married. Crutches and wheelchair ever after. Never bitter, he made the best out of life and a believer out of me.

Got the jersey at a benefit auction for a vintage racing buddy of mine who had broken his neck in a practice crash. He was from Louisiana, and Alley Semar rounded up a whole bunch of gear at Daytona that year for him. He was recovering quite well when about six months after his accident he was killed in a car wreck. Then Ernie crashed. Some of this moto memorabilia carries memories from one end of the spectrum to the other.

Yes, the Rockstar team with Lawrence and others had fuel boiling issues mainly the 250f's...

Also that was the year that Ernesto hit the huge triple in practice and then did it in the first moto..
