A1 Lodging Suggestions

My son and I are flying out to see A1 and I'm looking for suggestions on places / areas to stay that strike a good cost / safety balance. We'll have some time Friday afternoon and Sunday to do some moto-related sightseeing if anyone has suggestions for that also. TIA.

Last time I went we stayed at the Renaissance in Newport Beach off MacArthur Blvd. We liked it and was close to the tourist stuff down there. I bit of a drive out to the bike shops tho.

They’ve been cleared out for a few years now. Fences put up so there is no way for them to take over the riverbed again.

Town place suites Marriott across the street, Denny’s in the parking lot, across the street from stadium, but I expect it to be sold out this close to the event. Short drive / walking distance to a brewery

Everything in the area around the stadium will be plenty safe. If you don’t have a room yet, I’d get on it ASAP!

Comfort inn on katella right off the freeway was reasonable and clean when we used to go .

Stayed at Embassy Suites/less than a mile away when I didn’t live down here. Walked to the stadium.
