I am looking for KXF front end’s for my 04 KX250 build, other forums have stated YZF Forks “may” also fit without new tree and just inserts for top clamp gap. If you have knowledge ( experience / facts) on Kx front ends please reply as well.

I saw a video, I think it was that Tyler Monagan kid, on youtube where he put a newer KX250F front end on. It bolted right up, but not sure about offset, etc.

Lots of good info out there. Yes the newer KXF front ends (forks and triples) will bolt up to the frame but you will need the steering stop adapter (Trick Engineering makes an awesome one).

Update : no longer need triples thanks to Factory Dick 😂 he supplied ‘20 KX triples so now I am looking for forks to match

you just need a trick engineering steering adapter and then you can run any modern 250f/450f front end (clamps and forks) on the 04 KX 250. I had Showa SFF TAC forks and the stock 2015 KX450F triple clamps on my 04 KX 125 for a while before i sold it.

The best set up for the older gen kx's I've found were drop in cartridges in the stock uppers and lowers. I have the mx-tech lucky kit in my 03 kx125 and also had them in a 05 kx250. The 250 came with newer showas for a crf and did not feel as good as the stock legs with the mx-tech kit. Just a thought for you to ponder if the stock legs are good.

I was looking to get 700 for the forks and clamps and 300 for the shock. If you bought them both I'd do 800
