Top 10: Toronto 1

There was a ton of drama in Toronto, as the Monster Energy Supercross series made its lone international stop Let's run through the Top Ten in each class.

The holeshot in the 450s? That went to Ken Roczen.

1. James Stewart (Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing) put on a clinic,as he came from outside the top ten and methodically picked off riders until he took over the lead on lap 15.

2. Justin Barcia (Team Honda Muscle Milk) looked like he might pick off a win here up until he halfway point or so, when it became clear that Stewart was on the march to the front. Justin led the 12 laps after taking over the lead from Ken Roczen.

James Stewart and Justin Barcia dicing for the lead past the halfway point.

3. Ryan Dungey (Red Bull KTM) keeps plugging away, and turning in consistent podium finishes. He was third again this weekend.

4. Justin Brayton (Toyota/Yamaha/JGRMX) locked up fourth here, and as we start to eye the end of the season, he's got a pretty strong hold on fifth overall.

5. Ken Roczen (Red Bull KTM) finished fourth after his holeshot, and mentioned on the podium that he felt like he'd done a bit too much training this week.

6. Toronto was huge for Ryan Villopoto (Monster Energy Kawasaki), as he'd spent the entire day getting treatment for a serious stomach bug. He never rode practice, and had to take the 21st gate pick in the heat race. That one amounted to his practice session, and he transferred to the main by finishing second in his semi. While a sixth isn't his desired result, it was a whole lot better than a DNS and no points. His series points lead is now down to "only" a full race...25 points.

7. Weston Peick (MotoSport.com/WP Racing) was seventh here.

8. Dean Wilson (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki, subbing for Chad Reed on Discount Tire Racing/TwoTwo Motorsports) keeps turning in good 450 class results.

9. Josh Hill was the lone RCH Racing Soaring Eagle rider in the main after Broc Tickle went down hard in practice, and was sent to the hospital for x-rays.

10. Matt Goerke (BTO Sports/KTM) started just outside the top ten, but grabbed the tenth spot by the finish.

James Stewart taking the checkers. Afterwards he said this was the best he'd felt in a race in years.

All right, that takes care of the 450s. Let's run through the 250 class now.

Justin Bogle (GEICO Honda) grabbed the holeshot to start the 250 race.

Adam Cianciarulo (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki) came into the race with the 250 East points lead, but after his left shoulder popped out multiple times it put an end to his day, and also likely his title hopes.

1. Justin Bogle (GEICO Honda) finally got the start he was looking for, and ran away with the 250 main. He led this one wire-to-wire.

2. Martin Davalos (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki) finished second here, and now has the 250 East points lead...but it's only by four points over Bogle.

3. Toronto works for Matt Lemoine (JAB Motorsports). He'd started his night with a heat race win, and ended up with a podium finish.

4. Jeremy Martin (Yamalube Star Racing Yamaha) scored his best finish of the season so far. He and the team tried a bit of a different engine package this week to soften up the hit on his YZ250F.

5. Cole Thompson (Rockstar Energy Racing KTM) was the hometown favorite here, and he delivered his best race of the season.

6. Vince Friese (Factory MetalWorks) has been consistent, and right around the fifth spot (which is where he is in points, as the top non-factory-sponsored rider).

7. Alex Martin (CycleTrader.com/Rock River/Yamaha) has been making regular stops inside the top ten this season.

8. Kyle Cunningham (Smartop MotoConcepts Racing) started a bit outside the top ten, but came back to eighth at the finish.

9. AJ Catanzaro (Factory MetalWorks) scored his best finish of the season with a ninth.

10. Jimmy Decotis didn't do himself any favors with this crash early in the 250 main event, but he came from the back of the pack to tenth at the end.

Justin Bogle scoring his first-ever 250 Supercross main event win. Way to go, Justin.
