Paying It Forward MX 6

We love the story below. Bruce Barnes loves motocross like no other. We've known him for quite a while, and shot the photo below just minutes before he got taken out by a cartwheeling  bike at Washougal last summer. (He's the one on the left, flexing.)

Bruce suffered a whole collection of injuries that had him in critical condition for an extended period, but he's back on his feet again. While recovering, he came up with the idea of a fundraiser (and he has no shortage of medical expenses). But what's really amazing is that this isn't for himself. Instead, the money raised will go to others. Bruce checked in with a bunch of industry friends, and the result is the really trick bike that you see below. Someone's going to get a fully pimped out KX250F delivered to them, along with riding gear, and a bunch of other goodies. You can see a bunch more detail photos of the bike on the Facebook link below.

Way cool, Bruce, and we'll see you at Washougal.

On 7/26/14, Bruce Barnes was critically injured while volunteering at Washougal Motocross Park. Family and friends gathered by his hospital bed and prayed for his recovery. A Gofundme page was set up in the days following his accident and quickly grew to over $29,000 ‌within a few days.

Bruce was humbled by the outpouring of both emotional and financial support from people across the country and vowed that he would be "Paying it Forward" in the future.

As he recovered, Bruce began thinking of what he could do to make an impact and help those that had helped him. He began calling on his friends throughout the motocross industry to share with them his vision of a fundraiser. As the word spread, friends and business owners stepped up to donate to the cause.

The motorcycle, a custom 2015 Kawasaki KX250F, will be awarded to one lucky ticket holder on 9/20/15.

Tickets can be purchased directly from Bruce or through this site. All of the proceeds will be donated towards an equipment donation for the Medics at the Washougal MX track, Asterisk Mobile Medical, the IBEW Injured Workers Fund and the Brandon Layton Memorial Fund.

So, buy some tickets for the chance to win this awesome bike and support some amazing non profit
organizations at the same time.
