First Look: White Universal Motocross Samson Bed Rack

Shooting this new white Universal Motocross Samson Bed Rack is a little like taking photos of a polar bear in a snowstorm, but actually that's the whole point. The gang at Universal had received so many requests for a white version of their popular bed rack that they finally succumbed to the pressure. Needless to say, the snowy white version will look a lot cleaner in the back of a white truck than their current black edition.

The brace is constructed of lightweight yet strong extruded aluminum, and the tire chocks are TIG-welded into place. The outer ends (behind the main bar) telescope, so you can custom-fit your truck's bed. The eyelets are forged steel, and use zinc-plated base nuts and washers, as well as mounting nuts with anti-vibration inserts so everything stays nice and snug.

Okay, that's the good news. The bad news is that supplies of the brace in the new color are still a couple months away. But…the guys at Universal handed this one off to us, suggesting we give it away to one of the members on Vital MX. So here's the scoop:

1. Shoot a digital photo of your current bike in the back of a white truck.
2. Post it in your profile.
