Bike Check: Ryan Villopoto, Jake Weimer, and Randy Lawrence 13

Ryan Villopoto.

Nope, you didn’t accidentally land on our sister site, www.vitalbmx.com. Besides his coaching and training work with top motocrossers like Ryan Villopoto and Jake Weimer, Randy Lawrence has always been a huge fan of BMX, and has some serious skills as a rider. Show up at the Kawasaki track, and chances are good that you’ll find a BMX bike in the back of RL’s truck.

Intimidating? Yep. And there's no suspension to soak things up if you miss.

Sure, these guys also get in their miles on road bikes for stamina, but for riding precision? There nothing quite like a set of trails. A Supercross track is intimidating in its own way, but heading into a set of trails? That’s something else altogether.

Jake Weimer.

Coming up short? That's not an option.

Recently RL dialed in 20-inch bikes for both his guys, so that they can ride together on their local trails, and mix up their training. If you’re curious about the equipment, check out the specs below.
