10/1/2006 6:06pm Very true... The brakes leave something to be desired, for sure... My rear brake is operated (if I remember correctly) by means of a mechanical rod... The pivot point would bind up after some time and the brake wouldn't release when you took your foot off! The suspension is also not even close to today's mono shock suspension. While the...

9/24/2006 12:18pm Alright! Finally, someone knows what I am talking about! I also owned an MX 5, 1982 model. It was orange in color. The shocks had a longer travel, so I swapped them onto my Qualifier before selling the MX 5 to my best friend. He somehow 'left' the bike at someone's house years ago, and now isn't sure he will...
