Great article and I think you hit the nail right on the head. This problem is not limited to motocross/Supercross. You see it in many other sports as well and it does not produce a healthy environment. Company’s should take note of what Dean Wilson did for the young man who desperately needed some new equipment. Money would be much better spent there and would go much farther in getting talent on the track.
