Holy moly, I scoured the internet trying to figure out what my issue was and this solved it!! I did put the wrong connector on once, then left the white plastic part on and scratched my head for hours.... Thank you!!

I managed to find the answer to my own question on another forum. Will post it here for any others who may have this same issue later on, as this seems to be the first search that appears in Google. Re: MAP sensor connector The white part on the throttle body (left) doesn't belong there. It belongs on another connector. Take out the white part from the map sensor on the throttle body, and now the orange and white connector fits no problem. You will be left with a spare white bit now take out of the throttle body sensor...

Eventually figured it out. That white and orange bit was meant to be inside the other part but it has came out when I disconnected it. Took me ages to realise but thankfully got it sorted. I’ve just been putting the bike back together after she was painted.
