Genuine question about race gas. What makes it worth the extra cost? Never had the chance to ask anyone before. I understand how it reduces the risk of detonation. Do you all race and it helps with the hunt for every last hp?

(Tx300) I modified my slide to be what I would say is between a 5.00 and 5.5. The airbox side arch isn't quite as steep as what is pictured on page 5 but I marked 1.5mm with a sharpie and used a Dremel sanding wheel(nervous to cut too much my first time). Easy process and leaned out my off idle...

How does this notch look? I realized I rounded my edges unlike digger who had them squared off. Does this matter? About 3mm deep so I could go to 4mm like mentioned. How do these mods to the slide work together to effect fueling. The notch makes a stronger and richer pilot signal right? The 5.5 slide exposes the needle...

The 250 jetting is a good start for the 300. I've read the 300 likes a little leaner, but I'd rather start on the rich side and go from there. This should work pretty decent in Ohio. It's pretty similar to where I'm at now. Its the jetting currently in my bike and I've been running it for a few months now with no problems. It does smoke some when I first start it, but when everything gets to temp and out on track no more smoke. Main jet 500 Pilot jet 32.5 Slide 5.75 (Kawasaki part#16025-0003) Needle 43-75 (KTM...

Hi guys, I am the new owner of a ktm 150sx 2021 and new to two-stroke carb engine. Following this thread recommendation, I made some adjustments to the jetting for this weekend practice. Needle pos 2 (from 3 stock) Idle jet 32.5 (from 30 stock) Main jet 490 (from 470 stock) Airscrew 1.5 stock Needle 42-71 stock Needle Jet S4 stock Slide #4 stock Pump 91 The temperature was around 50f, maybe a bit colder in the morning. The track condition was really soft, a lot of sand going out of the corner. The bike never had this power exiting...

Enjoyed reading the great info so far gents. If it's alright could someone provide some tips for me to use this combo to fix the 1/8-1/4 burble&stumble i have on my 2017 tx300. Does the leaner slide concept work just as well for a 300? Iv gathered that grinding my slide to a 5 to 5.75 is probably my next...
