Wrecking in the Black Jack Enduro circuit race at Park Hills, MO in May 2011 tore my MCL, ACL, and Meniscus. Six months later and I am still recovering (can't run yet). Going forward, I am taking all precautions available to me. I have purchased a new Shoei helmet, and I plan to get CTi knee braces. I hoped to get a Leatt system as well, but with medical bills, it is going to be tough. This would get put to great use, as I plan to finish that race in 2012.

8/10/2011 5:30am Very good point. I have been in Physical Therapy at a large clinic since early May, and I have seen absolutely NO Bone-Patellar-Bone grafts come through the clinic. I have seen and talked to a ton of hammy/cadaver patients (ton is an exaggeration, but seriously 6 or 7 people in the past few months since I have been there...).

8/8/2011 6:23pm Hey CamP Do you have cartilage or meniscus problems too? With my torn meniscus and bone contusions, I fear I will be on a path to a total knee replacement in 15 - 20 years. I hope not.

I am just saying we should always be able to corroborate information provided to us, and if it still smells funny, check it a second time with someone...
