Oset 20 is a great all purpose bike for a kid that age. You won't be disappointed. It can be ridden almost anywhere and will last him forever too. I'm 6'6" 260 lbs and I have a blast riding my neices around.

The Oset throttle did not have the same wiring harness end as the Mototec, so I did have to splice on the Mototec connector, but it was simple. The brake levers are from Oset as well.
