A little bit of freeriding on an '04 CR125

Having some Saturday morning good times in the desert on a CRF150f.

This shoot took place at one of his secret practice tracks out in the desert around our area. (The locals all know where it is.) It's an un-groomed course that he and some friends literally rode into the hillsides. The week prior, Kurt had just competed in the Catalina Grand Prix, and he was moving into the off-season, having won his second WORCS championship that year. I joined him and a couple of other riders who were living with him at the time out for a day of practice and bench racing.

With the conclusion of the Monster Energy Supercross season over the prior weekend, Glen Helen Raceway held it's customary practice day for Lucas Oil Pro Motocross riders to get a preview of the course for the upcoming FMF Glen Helen National in a few weeks. Several high-profile names took up the opportunity to test, including Eli Tomac, Cooper Webb, Josh Grant, Blake Baggett, Aaron Plessinger, Jeremy Martin, as well as many other riders.

The toughest iteration of the event yet greeted the likes of Taylor Robert, Kyle Redmond, Colton Haaker, Mike Brown, Cory Graffunder, and event winner Cody Webb, along with many hopeful weekend warriors just trying to finish.

Any given Thursday in the month of May is a prime opportunity to watch the likes of Ryan Dungey, Marvin Musquin, Cole Seely, Weston Peick, Justin Barcia, Blake Baggett, and a host of other top riders as they test and refine for the season opener.

A beautiful weekend greeted a stacked field in the L.A. Sleeve Pro Race, featuring the likes of Colton Haaker, Colton Udall, Doug Dubach, Broc Shoemaker, the ever-popular Sean Collier on his KX500, and event winner Mike Sleeter.

The biggest event to date featured the likes of KTM off-road stars Taylor Robert, Toby Price, & Ivan Ramirez, Rockstar Husqvarna's Zach Osborne, Troy Lee Deisgns' Jessy Nelson, Sean Cantrell, & Darryn Durham, a host of mx legends, and of course weekend warrior extraordinaire Sean Collier just to name a few.

The record-high temperatures produced a dusty, rough course that tested even the best riders' ability. KTM's Taylor Robert took the win, followed by Kawasaki's Robby Bell and points leader Gary Sutherlin. Check out some highlights in this video.

Fasthouse rider Sean Collier took a trip to the Competitive Edge round of the TWMX series to prep for the Washougal round of the AMA Outdoor Nationals. #207 went 1-1 in 450 pro on a 103° day in the California desert.
