Any other Old School Husky 250 Riders out there? I use to ride a 1972 Husky 250 2 Stroke with a 8 speed gear box! It had a dual range tranny that had 4 high gears and 4 low gears? In the low set of gears it was like a billy goat and could climb a wall. Not super fast...

I also seemed to have to replace the reed valves frequently. I never did quite figure out why!

Is it just me or does it feel like they just don't build them like they use to? Those old dirt bikes were heavy, built like a tank, and nearly indestructible. I took a nasty spill on a little CRF 230 a couple of years ago going down a steep gravel left hand single track and it tore the bike...

Mine also had the right hand shift - I totally forgot about it until you just mentioned it. The bike road hard but man I could wheelie it all the way down the block and tick off all the neighbors. I miss that bike!!!
