8/22/2013 6:36pm Just put a wiseco piston, kibblewhite intake valves and new gaskets in my cart, I'm gonna try what FGR said and if it doesn't work, I'm gonna order the valves and piston, and if that don't work, I'm gonna take my losses and sell it.

8/22/2013 5:39pm Well if someone would answer my question, I might get it down to that point, I've already had valves shimmed! I need to know how that decompression lever is supposed to go, or how I can make it work, bc I don't think it's supposed to clank like it is!

8/21/2013 6:48pm Well that's the thing. It feels loose and it makes like a little tink when you kick it. It backfired a couple times when I kicked it, but that's all I can get out of it.

8/21/2013 5:30pm Ok just noticed there's a clanking in the motor. Took valve cover off and it's this little thing with a spring on it. The guy that put valve shims in said its supposed to clank. Is it? If not how is it supposed to go?

8/16/2013 7:51pm I could have been a little off, but clearances can be anywhere from intake- .004 to .006 and exhaust .010 to .012

8/4/2013 9:04pm Well. Got the valves fixed by a buddy of mine. Got the bike back, put motor in, radiators on, tried kicking it over and something didnt sound right. So I took the valve cover off and noticed the little spring on the cam, opposite side of the timing chain, I think it's a compression release, but I'm not sure, anyway...
