5/21/2019 7:59am Nice choice..that or an 08+ Superjet. Most common issues are clogged carb, front stator cover and/or bendix leakage (can see water/rust on flywheel), crank seals (oil around pump coupler, pressure in stator cover). Look at wear around impeller, and impeller damage. No cracks/soft spots in tray that could let water in to the tray foam. Same as dirt bikes otherwise...

Well you guys have sold me. I've been on the fence for a while. I tried one last summer and loved it. I've got my eyes on a clean looking 08 SXR 800. Anything in particular I should look out for? I would be strictly lake riding.

5/19/2019 5:18pm If you really learn to ride - stand ups are very similar, if not better for some people than moto. The downside is the learning curve, and potentially not having anyone to ride with.
