Don't get me wrong, I've been very pleased to get nearly half of the races live this year - loved it! But why not just show every race? You can't tell me the ratings with this horse shit NASCAR prep, talk shows, crap etc is really that much better than a LIVE set of Supercross races. I mean, take a damn break from that shit for 3 friggin hours and show us some live racing instead of that stupid roundy roundy crap. WTF?

Webcasts, something, damn.....

Haaa, my girlfriend commented on this today. She asked me why we get like 17 hours a day on NASCAR and only 2 hours on SX. Like most of her questions, I didn't have an answer...

The only thing thats bad about live coverage is the intermission that comes with it. With all that filler shit they have to add I would imagine they probably loose some viewers. They should keep doing freestyle shows during breaks. That adds A LOT to the program.
I wonder what the hell the ratings are like anyways?

I could see how NASCAR "races" are more popular than SX (even though I hate it), but the crap they showed on SPEED today/tonight was just about as boring as watching grass grow. Literally, it was painful. I tried to watch for 20-30 minutes and just couldn't take it.

Just wish we could get all rounds live on Speed. It does seem like every year we do get more races Live. Maybe someday.....

Obviously you have never been to a NASCAR race. NASCAR fans are just that 'fanatical' they travel unlike any sport I have ever seen. The economy is taking it's toll on NASCAR but many of the major speedways are still averaging well over 100,000. Look at the sponsorship money being fed into NASCAR. Companies are paying 8 figures to put their logo on a car. And the advertising works. I've met people at the races that only buy AMP instead of RedBull because Jr. drives for them or will only shop at Lowe's because of Jimmie Johnson. Hell, I talked to one guy at Charlotte that said he sold his Silverado and bought a Dodge when Brad Keselowski switched to Penske.... and he's a middle of the pack guy commanding that kind of a following.

So in short, yes, I can guarantee that NASCAR practice out-rates a live SX.

I, honestly, am a fan of both. I don't follow NASCAR like I do MX/SX but I enjoy both sports and I have grown an appreciation for the insane skill that those drivers have. It's ok to not like NASCAR because you just don't find it entertaining but I hear people on this board bitch about it constantly and it comes across as a bit of jealousy.

That was awsom. I like nascar though not gonna lie. Not as much as motocross. Maybe speed needs to make another channel like mtv and espn did. Maybe?

Thanks for posting that, I think I'm gonna flood the guy with some emails just to get under his skin. That was classic! PRetty much sums it up though. I honestly can't stand Nascar. I can watch Moto/SX, Rally, Trophy Trucks, Sprints, Monster Jam all day long. But Nascar just blows IMO.

We've still got a long way to go to even equal nascar rain delay coverage. When you get 3 hours of live tv for last years race and tow trucks driving round a wet track, you're doing something.
