So, looks like a 250 4 stroke tops out around 35mph in 1st. I have heard riders say they hit supercross triples in 1st sometimes on 450s. Just curious about how fast that means they are going in 1st. I do know they change internal gears, so it might not help much, on this topic. But just curious, about how much faster a 450 in 1st is than 35 mph.
What 250's are able to hit 35mpg in 1st gear? All the ones I've ridden I could barely get through the pits in 1st gear without falling over.
So, I'm not positive on that answer. I couldn't find either 250 or 450 mx numbers. I used this review to go by. It's possible, or maybe even probable off-road is way different then mx bikes on gearing. I was just using those as numbers. https://dirtbikemagazine.com/2026-250-off-road-bikes-on-the-dyno-the-wr…
About 20ish??? mph on a 450. You can get more based on gearing or stock banging it off the limiter.

Would love to see the "match" they did to get these numbers.

Works transmissions 1st gear is different from production...
Prolly closer to second....
1st is half the ratio of 5th so should be about half the top speed assuming it's geared low enough that it can hit the red limiter in 5th. Otherwise more than half.
450 SX-F ratios according to Cycle News:
1st Gear: 16:32 ratio (2.000)
2nd Gear: 18:30 ratio (1.667)
3rd Gear: 20:28 ratio (1.400)
4th Gear: 22:26 ratio (1.182)
5th Gear: 24:24 ratio (1.000)
