Leatt 5.5 boot. I think it will happen with any boot, anyone else have this problem?

Top of boot literally gets stuck right above airboot when riding.

I have the same problem with the older style plastics on my 2019.  Sucks trying to grab a shift before a jump face only to have your boot locked onto the foot peg.

I'm guessing this is more of an issue for taller guys with larger boot sizes. Ive got super long legs (36" inseam) and size 46 euro sg12s.  I'm thinking lower pegs may give enough clearance to solve it.

It only happens to me when I'm scrubbing or lifting legs off jump faces.

You're right though, it's scary. My left leg literally gets locked above footpeg in the air!
