On a real hard pack, they actually "bark" on hard braking bumps...first time it did it was a little startling.

What tracks are you riding at! haha just kidding. Seems like all the AZ tracks have really stepped up their game this year.
Now we just need Firebird to come back!
I like th 952, but prefer the MX51 over it. Better overall tire IMO. Also if you can get it at cost it is only like 70 bucks.
I could not agree more. The 952 does everything well but nothing great.
I used them for the majority of the season on a YZ125 at a whole host of different tracks and conditions and they performed well on each of them. Especially Hawkstone Park which is a majority of sand.
As EatAChode says, they do everything well, just not outstanding in any one terrain.
Awesome hook up and they last longer than all the other "good" tires.
and..thanks for the tire advice. It's nice to hear opinions from some local guys.
The 952 is Dunlops "Maxxis killer".

I ran one on my '04 KX 250. It didn't hook for shit, and chunked like crazy. The tire was useless after only a few rides (and didn't like how it tracked up to that). I'm not rich, so can't switch tires out after every few rides. I've had much better luck with the Maxxis SX tire, or even a Michelin starcross. Hell, I've even run an IRC M5B which lasted forever (but was horrible in hard terrain).
I had the same experience with the 756 tires, they suck for a working man. Destroyed in only a couple of outings. I bought a MX51 recently because it was on sale at a local dealer for $45. Just haven't run it yet, so don't know how it's gonna go. But have heard good things from other riders. However, I switched one out for a buddy recently and the bead on the old tire was ridiculously tight. I mean, "about to cut the friggin' tire off" tight. The new one went on wonderfully though.
